QUEST FOR THE CROWN

2–8 players · 60 min · Moderate suspense
Difficulty Never locked in

Return the dragon's eggs, recover the crown, and stop a war before it consumes the kingdom.

Cracked's newest game, currently under testing.

You and your team have been charged with the Quest for the Crown! Welcome to a realm of wizards, knights and dragons! For generations, peace and prosperity ruled the kingdom. But blinded by greed and the promise of power, the king bound the great dragon Veyra in chains and stole her three eggs. But dragons are not so easily tamed.

Veyra broke free, the king fell, and the royal crown vanished with her. Now the throne sits empty, old rivalries have returned, and armies are gathering across the realm. War is coming.

The three stolen eggs remain hidden somewhere within the castle. Returning them and recovering the crown may be the kingdom's only chance for peace. You have 60 minutes to explore the castle, uncover its secrets and complete your quest before war consumes the kingdom.

FLASHBACK

2–8 players · 60 min · Not scary
Difficulty Locked in during play

An 80s/90s throwback. Get pulled into the TV and escape before the final take.

Watch trailer

Get ready for a nostalgic 80s/90s throwback! Every weekend, you and the team get together for classic movies and shows. Tonight is special. It is your night to pick the flick. You surprise the team with a decades-old VHS player and tape that simply reads FLASHBACK.

Everyone is excited. You hook up the VGA cables, rewind the VHS, set the tracking, and everyone settles in. The show starts-a rad sitcom from the 80s or 90s. Suddenly, the TV flashes, beeps, buzzes and warps. Your friends are in a trance and you begin to feel it, too. You are being pulled into the TV!

You wake up. You are on-set of a nostalgic sitcom! You hear a voice over the loudspeaker shout, "Filming will begin shortly. This is the final take! Remember, the last scene must happen before the hour is up!." You do not understand how this happened, but you know that you must eject the VHS and get out of the TV, or be stuck forever...

Flashback is slightly easier to complete than Locomotives or Scallywags, and is much easier than One Dark Night. It plays best with 4-7 players or 2-4 very experienced players. For those of you who are professional escapees, you will love this game, but you may beat the room with time to spare. A group of 2-3 first timers might only experience 75% of the game before the time runs out.

Flashback is a medium size room that can easily host your team of up to 8 players. Your mission is to escape, so the door you enter IS locked. You may leave the game at any time, for any reason. On request, the door can remain unlocked. This game is better lit than most escape rooms you have played. The room has some neon lights integrated into the puzzles that are more than just ambient lighting, so we cannot shut them off. There will be a point in the game when audio/music plays from multiple sources simultaneously as part of a puzzle, and it cannot be muted or bypassed. Please take this into consideration if you or someone in your group has sensory sensitivities.

Flashback does not have any startling sounds or jump scares. A place to sit is provided for someone who may not be able to be on their feet for the full hour, and additional seats can be provided on request.

Flashback is wheelchair accessible, but more than 2 wheelchairs in a large group could cause space concerns, and there are game elements that will be out of reach. An able-bodied player is recommended; if none is present, your Game Master can enter the game and assist with any elements that are out of reach.

LOCO MOTIVES

2–6 players · 60 min · Light suspense
Difficulty Never locked in

A murder mystery on a vintage train. Find the killer before the sheriff boards. Winnable even if time runs out.

Watch trailer

All aboard this unique spin on a classic who-dun-it! This hybrid escape room, murder mystery will have your team solving puzzles to learn motives and analyze evidence. The final puzzle is solving the mystery of Mr. Scott's murder. This game can be won, even if time runs out by selecting the correct suspect!

Mr. Scott was an inventor, a genius of sorts. You may know him as the inventor of the wildly successful “smellovision”. Or maybe you know him for some of his failures, like finger-forks, or Diet Water. Regardless, Mr. Scott was special. He saw the world through a different lens and he understood things others did not. Mr. Scott was admired by most, and loathed by some. While passing through a tunnel on his private train, the lights went out. When the light came back.. you guessed it... Mr. Scott had been murdered!

In exactly 60 minutes, the train will stop at the nearest station where the Sheriff awaits. It is up to you and your team to figure out who of the 5 suspects killed Mr. Scott before time runs out, lest you be suspect.

Locomotives is middle of the pack for difficulty and plays best with 3-6 players. Brand new players, especially groups of 2, will be very challenged and will probably only experience about 60% of the room before time runs out. Enthusiasts really enjoy the mystery twist and should expect time after solving the puzzles to dissect the evidence and pick the right suspect.

Although this is a murder mystery, no blood, gore, or dead bodies are presented in the room. There are no spiritual elements and no curse words or obscenity, though there is a faux bar on the car, so imagery of alcoholic beverages may be present.

Loco Motives takes place on a train car, so there isn't a lot of extra room for larger groups; 6 players truly are the most you will want in this room. The door you enter will NOT be locked and you may leave at any time, for any reason. This game is very well lit with daylight-style lighting, though as the train rolls down the tracks the light does tend to flicker a bit; by request this effect can be bypassed for those with sensitivities. This game has no startling sounds or jump scares. A place to sit is provided for someone who may not be able to be on their feet for the full hour, and additional seats can be provided on request.

Loco Motives is wheelchair accessible, but more than 2 wheelchairs in a group could cause space concerns, and some game elements may be out of reach. An able-bodied player is recommended; if none is present, your Game Master can enter the game to assist with any elements that are out of reach.

SCALLYWAGS

2–10 players · 60 min · Not scary
Difficulty Never locked in

Break the curse on a lost pirate island and fly your flag once more. Our biggest room, built for the whole crew.

Watch trailer

Ahoy buccaneers! The sun is shining, but turmoil plagues the crew. Our fearless captain has succumbed to scurvy and we have no gold, no gems, and no rum! Our flag cannot fly, for we can no longer sail the seas. A poor brood of pirates we be.

Though the captain rests with the sea, all hope is not lost for he has led us to Magic Island where but once-a-year the tide be high enough to make land. Now is our chance. Our crew must tread carefully; the island can offer riches, or a curse. But, no choice have we. Before the tide runs low, we must board this treacherous island, unveil its magic, collect its riches and fly our flag as pirates once more!

Scallywags is middle of the pack for difficulty, but this is a bigger game with tons to do, so it plays best with 4-10 players. It is very difficult for fewer than 4 players simply because there is so much to get done in the hour. Professional escapees should be able to complete this game with 2 players within 60 minutes, but even then it will be challenging; for groups of 2-3 non-professionals we recommend purchasing +15 minutes of play time.

Scallywags is a large room with plenty of space for large groups. The door you enter will NOT be locked and you may leave at any time, for any reason. This game is very well lit with daylight-style lighting, with no flashing lights or startling sounds. A place to sit is provided for someone who may not be able to be on their feet for the full hour, and additional seats can be provided on request.

Scallywags is wheelchair accessible, but more than 4 wheelchairs in a large group could cause space concerns, and some game elements may be out of reach. An able-bodied player is recommended; if none is present, your Game Master can enter the game to assist with any elements that are out of reach.
